After obtaining her diploma in journalism at Ottawa’s Algonquin College she received her first cycle diploma in French literature from the University of Montreal and went on to pursue a second cycle in History. Part of her life was spent in Sénégal. Geneviève has lived in Cuba for the last 6 years in the Los Mamoncillos Artistic Community. Sponsored by the Provincial Council of Fine Arts of Santiago de Cuba, she shares, with sculptor Wilfredo Fernández González, the sculptural project, Humanidad.

To her credit, thirty plus exhibitions and public workshops in Canada, Europe and Cuba. Between 2008 and 2011, she won various prizes among which, in 2009, 1st prize Sculptura awarded by the International Academy of Fine Arts of Quebec and, in 2011, always by the same organization, the title of Academic member for her work in the gestual of the hands using the technique of the lost wax.
