Monumental sculpture  2015 - 2018
 

 

Wilfredo is presently working on a huge commemorative scuplture (six meters) of one of the great heros of the Cuban Revolution :

José Maceo Grajales, The Lion of the  Orient (1849-1896), Grand General  of the Cuban War of Independance who died gloriously at age 47, on the Loma del Gato, during a battle where the spanish troops suffered tremendous casualties. 

The Loma del Gato is situated at the nothern limit of what is today the Baconao Biosphere Reserve.
